I call all of this the "fat, dumb, and, happy" syndrome. As long as it doesn't affect people directly, they don't care what happens, until it's too late. This has been going on for years now, in a lot of administrations, but like I said, if it doesn't affect them, they don't care or want to know. I certainly hope that the state is not paying for any of these stays, that to me would be taxation, without representation. A subject like this affects me directly. I came to this country on a visa, I became a citizen, and I enlisted in the military during the Vietnam War. I don't hear anyone wanting to cross the border to join our military to defend this country, all anyone wants is the benefits, that only some of us, have earned. So, as a humanitarian, I am willing to give people a chance to prove themselves, to find work, to pay taxes, to pay rent, or buy a house. I'm just curious how much of our tax money is sent as "Aid" to these countries, and now it's costing us another 3.7 trillion dollars. Money that should be spent here in this country. If I were the governor, nothing or no one would stop me to see what I wanted in my own state, to talk to who I wanted to, and to take as many pictures as I wanted.

Thank you for your service and for becoming an American! We are all better because of it. You are an example of what an immigrant was suppose to be.

I think she should pick up about four handfuls of her state troopers and swat teams and mosey on in with her D800E and pay them a visit red blooded American style.

Not exactly............

According to multiple news reports O'Mally opposed sending juvenile illegal immigrants to a single site in Western Maryland. The state hosts illegals now, and is identifying other sites for such accommodations.

Ok, who are you going to believe? O'Malley, ex-mayor of gang ridden, homicide central Baltimore or this White House? They're both pointing fingers at each other. Yeah, you have quite a choice of who you want to believe.

Don she is not the head of the army reserve. she is head of the national guard which is state sponsored but can be federalized. the guard receives most of its funds from the fed.

She can walk in with those personel by her side and actually arrest the Federal personel, and THAT is what She should do...

Please help me here.
I thought the incumbent U.S. government was being led by the "Democratic Party" . This "Party' is made up of democrats. Democrats want to live in a democracy, i.e. Government By All The People. Everyone!!
OLIGARCHY. Government by the few people.
LIBERAL. Free thinking, free from bigotry, tolerant of other people's ideas.
Am I missing something?

1. The children are at Ft. Sill which is federal property

2. She has no authority on Ft. Sill property.

3. I believe it is a congressman and not the gov who wants to visit the children.

4. Why would anyone want to speak with a 5 year old kid?

This looks like more outrage and tilting at windmills!

I am going to collect more information before arriving at a decision. It never ceases to amaze me how many authors on this UHH site quickly pass judgement or state their opinion as fact without investigating the accuracy of what their favorite news site or blog just reported.

-- I don't disagree. But the decision (made by whom?) to deny US Representatives access to the site lacks common sense, is terrible PR and, as I wrote elsewhere, only increases the insecurities of the paranoid.

-- I support this administration philosophically on many issues. While its shortcomings fall far far short of the levels of deceit of the Nixon administration, its poor judgment too often makes it become its own worst enemy. Granted, today’s political and social divisions – likely unmatched since the 1880s to 1910s -- would challenge even the most formidable of past administrations.

Dear Cat Lady,

"These countries' citizens have to change those conditions, like our people did in 1776."

You mean by killing 90% of the Native population with DISEASE, stealing their land, putting them on the worst possible lands we called 'reservations' when they were really prisons?

As for your 'Second' point the flood making life worse. That is what happened when the Brits came from the point of the Native Americans. It happened again according to the English when the Irish arrived. Then it happened again when the Italians came, according to the Irish. Let's not forget the Cubans after Castro took over in 1958. How about the Vietnamese and Cambodians after 1974 with the end of Vietnam? Did I leave out one of your favorite groups, maybe the Puerto Ricans that came over legally because they too are part of the US? Oh let's not forget the Mexicans that lived here before 1948 when they lost the war and their properties were taken. They were promised Bilingual education that did not happen until the 1970s by Justice Warren in California.

Yeah, all of those immigrants have RUINED this country. I see your point. lol

I have no idea if the story that started this thread is correct. However, your statement about the National Guard is half true. She can call them up for duty in the state for rioting, disasters and such. But if she calls them up to arrest a Federal official, then they will be nationalized by the President. Think Eisenhower and Little Rock AK in the mid-50s.

My goodness. I am having a hard time even believing that because as we ALL know this is the most transparent administration since, since, since, Give me a minute here to think. OK well since NEVER.

For me, an even more mystifying question would be how can Liberals see this situation and think it is acceptable when a governor of a state in the United States of America is not allowed to do these things in her own state. It is sort of mind boggling when if the situation were reversed the Liberals would be all over Conservatives like stink on potty.

Frank,,,, until this man became President, I never actually felt that we, the voters of the USA were in trouble in as many ways as we are now..

Since I don't know what state you live in (and it doesn't matter) would you "ACTUALLY" answer a very simple question.... IF The governor of your state was treated like the example given above.... would you answer in the same silly way you did to this one... OR would you be upset enough to at least say... That's Wrong.....

Well, the governor of my state is a complete waste of skin, so I don't much care if the feds (figuratively) beat him like a rented mule.
