a medical tale..........
2 patients limp into two different doctors' offices with the same
complaint: Both have trouble walking and may require hip surgery.
Patient 1. is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day
and has a time booked for surgery the following week.
Patient 2. sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an
appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray,
which isn't reviewed for another week and finally has his surgery
scheduled for 6 months from then, pending the review boards decision on
his age and remaining value to society.
Why the different treatment for the 2 patients?
The FIRST is a Golden Retriever taken to a vet.
The SECOND is a Senior Citizen on Obama care.
In November, if there is no change in government, we'll all have to find a good vet

You may be closer to the truth than you realize.
What a ray of sunshine!!
I hope we get some change come November or we are in for it.

Guess what- it took just as long for my knee replacement before Obama Care was passed, so nothing has changed. You go to the Vet for your next surgery, eh?

What' stupid about this is that senior citizens aren't on Obamacare, they're on Social Security. The entire premise of this idiotic post is invalid.

Was the mistake in calling the 64-year-old (not on Medicare) a Senior Citizen? Social Security has nothing to do with it other than your SS payment can be docked to contribute to Medicare.
:-D

Not "can be" but "is docked" for Medicare contribution.
When I read something like this it makes me so thankful that I live in Canada and we have good medical coverage
Well I'm glad there is some kind of fall back position.

WOW. Perhaps this definition will help.
hu·mor
[hyoo-mer or, often, yoo-]
1.
a comic, absurd, or incongruous quality causing amusement: the humor of a situation.
2.
the faculty of perceiving what is amusing or comical
I think this definition explains the post. Are we lacking in the second part of the definition?
Personally, I perceived it as humor. Not real, stupid, or something to get upset about.

Thanks for making me look up Part B again. I had forgottten that everyone pays a premium regardless of income level.
My vet does not take Medicare. Now what do I do?

What is stupid is trying to pay your medical bills on Social Security! You try it!
