They have mountains in Alaska?
My wife and I took our first trip there last summer, and the sky was overcast, hazy, foggy and rainy for the entire trip. Didn't see any mountains or any wildlife.
Great shots! Wish I'd been there when you were!

I am sorry to hear that, I had that happen to me numerous times, it's frustrating to spend all that money and see nothing but rain and fog. The weather is so unpredictable in Alaska. Sometimes on this blog people ask what lens to take for shooting killer whales, humpbacks eagles, bears, I hate to tell them even up there they are a rare sight. To years ago I booked a $120 excursion for whale watching, saw one whale about 1/2 mile away. I have a better chance to see one in my area. It all depends on luck. I took two excursions trips up the Stikine river in the past by jet boat and both times I could hardly see the river bank because of fog. The trouble is when you book these on the ship days before you have no idea what the weather is going to be on that day.

Thank you so very much, glad that you liked them. Around here, thanks God, it rarely gets hot, I went to Utah once in the summer and I thought I die, I was not used to it.

Rick here are my suggestions. If you go with a cruise book it out of Vancouver Canada all the way to Anchorage and fly home from there. The cruises that go up to Skagway and back you are backtracking the same scenery you saw a few days before. Now what i did a few times fly to Anchorage and rent a car for about ten days, this is a great way to see Alaska, I always did it at the beginning of September as the prices for lodging and car rental drop in price.
