For the life of me I cannot find how to upgrade from CS5 to CS6 for Mac. I can't even find out what the cost would be. Has anyone done this and if so how?

Every time I upgraded, I think the charge was $199. But I do have a PC and not a Mac, so I don't know if there is a difference. The last time I upgraded was from CS5 to CS5 extended, it was the same cost.

You can buy it for $1000 from Amazon or you can subscribe to it for $10 a month from Adobe and get CS6+Lightroom+updates forever or until they change their minds. I opted for the latter, and hope for the best.

Err

That is PS CC, not CS6. There are noticeable differences.

Don't know of any upgrades from cs5 to cs6 at this point. It appears to have been discontinued by Adobe, which I seem to remember was going to be the case a while back.

The only cs6 aps available for downloads are for lost cds and you need the original serial numbers to activate.

Looks like Ebay or Amazon for used copies may be your best bet.

I did but with Windows, Last year sometime...If I recall it was a $295 upgrade...but I go through this with several other software companies so my price may be off. If you have an account with Adobe, sign in, select CS6 , it will ask if and what you are upgrading to/from...then give you the cost. (if the upgrade is still available) you may be forced to CC.

When Adobe introduced CS6 they no longer offered the upgrade through 3rd party vendors (such as B&H). You had to buy the upgrade from Adobe for $199 (which I did). With the introduction of CC they offered CS6 and the upgrade for a limited time. But that is no longer available. Now you must use the cloud service. But think about this Dusty....if you upgraded Photoshop on each new release your cost was $199 each time. Now for $120 per year you can have Photoshop CC and Lightroom plus a few extra and you will get constant upgrades as long as you remain current. Not a bad deal at all!

CC is easy to do and you save mucho bux over time. I have both Mac and Windows and both went down without a problem. Now, I already had PS 6 installed, but it's a simple download issue as far as I can see. There is a PS 7 on the horizon...another hunk of money for you to save when you go CC...

You need to pose this question in a new post. Asking here is considered hijacking the thread.

You could definitely upgrade to CS6 through B&H or Adorama and such after CS6 was introduced, they had the boxed upgrade a long time after that!

But no longer, Adobe pulled that from all resellers.
