Question for Admin...
When I first joined the forum I was negligent and failed to read all the "rules" thoroughly. My bad. My questions is this - would you please discuss the following excerpt from the rules in terms of what you folks plan on doing with the images we have posted and how, in light of the copyright law, watermarks, exif data, etc., do you propose to gain ownership of our images by virtue of us participating in this forum and then presume to use those images as you see fit? Thank you in advance for your response.

Glad you pointed that out. I was lazy and didn't read.
Hmmm...
I hope the keyword here is "visitor". Because if this applies to members, I won't be posting anymore of my work.
I work too hard just to give it away.
Andy
Thanks gessman for bringing this up. I wondered why there weren't more pictures posted. While I, too was negligent, I still feel like I've been had. No more from me. I'll go back to tmelive.com and suggest you do the same.
I'm gone. Been nice knowing you all. :)
Quite worrisome. I have my doubts about the legality of an unsigned contract for perpetual use, or even one time use.
Any camera-carrying legal eagles out there?

Wait Bob, please. Let's see what the response is. You're a most valuable asset here, perhaps "the most..."
Yeah, I feel everyone may just want to stop posting pictures until we get a straight answer from Admin. Hopefully they are not selling and using our photo's elsewhere. Put we can still chat on the site until the matter is cleared up.
So don't leave yet people.
I feel the same way.....wait until we get an answer!
I am as guilty as everyone else here and was negligent but now I know. I won't be posting any more photos either until we see a response. And Bob... please wait. Gessman is right.. you are invaluable.
You were right, again, gessman, this gives room for pondering and questioning the admin about their goals and intent. Sad, really... I guess I'm joining you and the others on the wait-and-see boat! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you think they will respond through this forum?
Gessman,
So glad you made this post. It will save many a lot of heartache and grief. If these are the rules, I'm glad that I have not posted anything but a few pet photos. This really sucks because I was liking this friendly community. If there is no change in the statement, adios from me too.
Waiting and seeing with the rest.
Oh Geez, I just found this place, and hope we don't have to leave. BUT if we do, don't leave without me!
I suspect that there's not a lot to worry about with the 600 mpx wide shots but the "upload the original" which just popped up last week is another matter. Still, I don't like the whole idea personally. Like everyone else, I'd sure hate to see it all come to a halt because it has been very beneficial for several of us but if I have to give up or involuntarily share my image ownership, I'm outta here. I just don't get where they're coming from with this. If they don't respond to this thread then I'll email them unless someone else wants to do it. I'm cool with it.
