I am trying to decide on a new camera bag...I am fairly small so I dont want an overly large bag but want to have a tablet or small laptop in bag also...will need large enough for my Nikon D3100, 11-55mm, 50mm,70-300mm, speedlight plus cards etc...I think I am wanting a shoulder bag, possibly Lowepro

I love my ThinkTank Turnstyle 20. It is heavy when it's full but it is a sling bag so it distributes the weight to your back. It has a special pocket for your iPad and will hold the camera and three lenses easily. A flash too if the lenses aren't all long ones. Be sure to go try them on. I took my camera and lenses to the photo shop and tried several all loaded before I made my decision.

Don't know about fitting all your stuff in it since my kit is different but Lowerpro Passport sling is a great bag that looks like a canvas shoulder purse and doesn't shout "I am a camera bag, please steal me" I carry my camera, 3-6 lenses plus filters, batteries, and iPad, phone and wallet. I like the security of a sling bag and how it balances itself so it doesn't interfere with shooting. I'm a confessed bag junkie and this is the first time I've kept one more than 6 months (into Year#3)

My opinion on women is mitigated by my personal experience from airheads to incredibly smart...

Same goes for men so...

Caveat, men have a tendency to be gun nuts too.

I have the lowpro passport too it not real big and it will not fit a laptop and just one or two lenses plus camera. Six lenses no way!

The porteen bags look very nice. like a purse. You get to pick out the leathers and fabrics. Porteengear.com/ Some fit a laptop. Great reviews by happy customers!

I'm not a woman and I don't have a suggestion for the bag, but my wife and I have a few jackets and vests from www.scottevest.com that we're very happy with- tons of pockets. Room for cell phone, iPad, mp3 player, organizer for headphone cables. I think the vests have 20+ pockets. And, they don't look like a gear garment- stuff fits on the inside.

I am a small man and while I am not gay, I care about style. I carry a laptop and iPad plus camera gear in my ThinkTank on my daily rounds. I use a LowPro back pack when I want to carry more gear when traveling but I also bring my ThinkTank for running around. Good luck.

Hi, I am looking at one of these bags by ONA. They are made for cameras and IPads etc. Also a co. called Bellingham. They don't look like camera bags, but are of very good quality.

I use a medium Bellingham bag. It will hold a tablet or small laptop. Camera and a few lenses. I have it in black. Looks like a classy purse. Get the optional shoulder strap pad for a heavy load.

That is a huge question. I would base it on your budget first then make a list of your priorities of what you want to carry and how much weight it all adds up to, then go from there. I like the Kelly More bags but when comparing Kelly More to Epiphanie, I choose the Epiphanie London. (Decision was based on cost and size of my laptop) I love it, it holds my D600, 2-3 lenses, flash, cables, batteries, phone, ipad, 15 " laptop (but will hold a 17"), flashlight, wallet and misc accessories. Has shoulder and backpack straps. Has an opening so that it fits over the handle of a rolling suitcase and is Air travel approved as a personal carry-on. The bag weighs less than 4lbs when empty. When not carrying my laptop, I can fit my Rotolights in there as well. Fits comfortably on my back. I also have a Lowepro backpack which I also like.

I am small to 5ft.1 so I find a back pack works very well for me.I am a retired nurse so I have a lot of lower back & shoulder issues. The weight of my camera gear is evenly distributed so of course easier to carry.I just use a Tamrac BP I purchased from B&H many years ago. When I am going to visit grand kids I just take a shoulder bag that holds my D7100 & a couple lenses, extra battery & such.It was purchased at KMart years ago but it works for me.Good luck & let us know what you decide on.

top of the line, Think Tank bags are one of the best, designed by photographers for photographers. I have tried a lot of bags and have a few but always reach for my TT's my 2 suggestions would be http://www.thinktankphoto.com/categories/shoulder-bags/urban-disguise.aspx and http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/847278-REG/Think_Tank_438_Sling_O_Matic_30_Sling_Camera.html and for a backpack http://www.thinktankphoto.com/categories/camera-backpacks/streetwalker-backpacks.aspx I prefer backpacks I just find them more comfortable when loaded up.
I usually take Sling bag I find it more comfortable than shoulder bag in it is D700 with grip, and 24=70 2.8 mounted, 70=200 2.8, 85 1.4, 105 2.8, sb910 and sb700 and usual extras.

Women may understand my comment here, which I make with love.

My wife loves bags. I mean she loves bags. She leans toward bags by a British company Mulberry. She has a collection of them as well as a couple Jimmy Choo's throw in. (Hey she lets me buy camera equipment)

With that rather high bar set.

She is tempted by the ONA bags even though she is not into photography.
