Welcome! I have the T3i, enjoy it a lot. What lens/es do you have? If you are not familiar with exposure (relationship of ISO, shutter speed, aperture size), a book highly recommended on this site is Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure." For the creative side, composition and such, even library books written for film will give you great tips :)
