At a local festival this weekend there was a small group doing traditional dance and song along the river..

Good facial expressions, but I'd prefer color.

Ahhhh Travesty, you've evoked a "vision quest" atmosphere. It fits perfectly.

Thank you Jerry.. :) I chose B&W for the simple fact that I always prefer people in B&W, but almost made an exception in this case because of the colorful dress.. The fact I did not was because of the inflatable jumpy, cars and buildings in the background that made a huge distraction from the true subject in my eyes... I may surprise you one day... :)

I like the bw because it shows the period of time the the images are showing. Think of Curtis work (all bw)

I like the black and white, I think you got more from the faces by using it.

I agree Don... I also understand why many prefer color and it has it's place with human subjects for sure... Just a preference thing... In this case I think folks would have liked to see the color of the clothing and head dresses...
