Which background do you prefer?

The First is the better one IMHO. Though truth be told I think that a more uniform background would be better. Even the blurred back ground takes away from the beauty of the flowers. My eye wonders to the cars in the background, thus making the flowers less important to the photo.

Foregrounds are identical. The 1-st picture is regular and the 2-nd one is a stack of 3, including 1-st.

I prefer the first as the background is less distracting. Just my opinion.

MMC,the first picture is the best in my opinion the second is just to busy and confusing and has no center of interest. Thanks for posting.

I promised to take picture with small aperture. I took it. It was taken with F22, smallest aperture for my lens. Background is not sharp as it was received with stacking.

Prefer the 1st one. Would think you could achieve the effect in the 2nd one by using a smaller aperture, not bothering to stack the images.

I like the composition of this photo. yet the background is still a little distracting. I wonder what would happen if you lowered your camera and used the tree' green for a background while still using a higher f-stop.

Thank you for looking. I took these pictures for practicing. The last one was taken to proof my response that small aperture will not solve problem to have foreground and background sharp.

Are the flowers your subject? Then 1 is the shot. If cars, 3. If the whole scene, 2 -- but I find that shot very busy. I'd try for one or the other. Beginner opinion. I'm just starting to try stacking myself. Good luck to you. Charlie
