Nah, not at all. We have some peeps that are "froggy" about arguing, that's all. I love to argue - but I TRY to respect the other person's point of view. Unless, of course, they tell an old historian something that is not true. And, that's different from "false." people can have bad memories or just be repeating thing they were told that are incorrect, so I try to be gentle (or funny) when I correct their mistakes.
At times, YOU paint "with a broad brush" about conservatives - I don't usually "fit" the things that you say about conservatives, but that's no reason to get mad - it's a reason to explain.
BTW: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it," is widely attributed to Voltaire (François Marie Arouet: 16941778 - but may have never actually been said or written by him.)

I'm sorry, I know I do and will work on that. I'd rather somebody tell me nicely than tell me meanly, I don't respond well to mean. :)
Another saying, something about doing the same thing over and over is often attributed to Einstein? Actually, I forget who but Jerry41 had it on a post that it was false. Someone mentioned it the other day and I told them it wasn't true, they argued and argued about that. Now I have to go look it up...darn it Red, that's the trbl with being an airhead like me! :)

I can't believe what that Donna (dljen) writes/thinks....she actually calls folks "little people I can only assume she says this from her pedestal while overlooking her queendom.
It is little wonder that this nation is in deep kimchi with people like her running loose and voting.
She actually says the conservatives are anti military and want to deny them their rights
.. who has been running the VA for the past 6+ years. Virtually every major move of the Obama administration has reduced the power, security and influence of America and its allies. Cutbacks in military spending, while our adversaries have increased their military buildups, ensure that these changes to our detriment will continue, even after Barack Obama
I would guess 80% of military folks are conservatives and they are trying to protect people like her
It is the liberal who puts everyone into a box and creates one special group after another
divide and conquer is their motto. I also should remind the queen that Obama and Hillary were both anti gay before the gay mafia got to them.. and what the hell is a war women suppose to mean. is that some sort of liberal speak to assist in divide and concurs
.it really means nothing.
I might also add.. it is the liberal who wants equal outcome/results
. it is the conservation who wants equal opportunity
I just cant believe I waste my time reading anything she writes
..I will skip over the flower avatar
but in this case after starting and stopping to respond about 3 times, I decided to push back. against the libtards

As is par for you, you took what I wrote and misconstrued everything. I wish you would not comment on what I write, you're one of lower intelligence and cannot understand, I skip over what you write most of the time but saw my name before clicking out.
Calling somebody a libtard because you don't believe in what they say only substantiates my claim.

Must be one of " the little people " huh?

No, Liberals are very attuned to the little people. We may be more emotional but that is an attribute, I would think. We want peace and equality. We are progressives.
Conservatives wish only to deny people their rights as is seen with gays, women, the elderly, the military and want us to fit into their molds, white and old. They want to change the world to their way of thinking, they have an inability to accept differences in other's lifestyles or governments. They coddle their guns and believe in all kinds of conspiracy theories. They want to return their lives to the 1950's which would have been nice, I'm sure, but they don't know that time changes and we change with it. Conservatives have a hard time accepting change of any type, that's why they are referred to as regressive.

In no way do we want to limit the rights of anyone. We are opposed to using public money to make them a special class of people. Everyone has the same rights which end where the rights of others begin. Everyone has the same right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It does not mean that they will have the same as someone else. It means that that if the individual is willing to work for what they want, they may do so. Life is not fair or equal to all and the government has absolutely no business trying to 'level the field'. It will never happen as you can see by Obummers failed attempts at it.

Too many people here, argue things that they "think" (which is fine; just say it's an opinion) instead of actual facts (which can be easily looked up online).
That's fine with me - that's everybody's right in this society. Yer doin' good, just by being "part of the process."
BUT (Here it comes!), many of you apparently misunderstand how the government of the U.S.A. works - Or, lately, how it doesn't work. (We can all celebrate when Congress is on a "summer break" 'cause then they can't hurt us, for awhile.)
This is gonna be a shock to some, and I'll include our friends "overseas"(especially in the UK)! The President of the United States of America does not RULE the country. Just like our UK friends will tell us that the Queen of England doesn't RULE her nation and commonwealth.
Their powers are limited to what I refer to as "being able to get people to listen when they make a suggestion." You really want to know who really messes up governments, going clear back to, at least, ancient Egypt? That's right up my alley as a historian and PhD archaeologist!
The answer is simple: The "entrenched bureaucracy" runs ALL nations, monarchies, democracies, republics, dictatorships, whatever. (NOT "socialist" - that is NOT a political system, it is an ECONOMIC system, just like "capitalism."
Now, I want to compliment any of you that do work for the government, anywhere - most of you do all of the rest of us a great job, "takin' care of business" on our behalf. But U know the old saying about a "few bad apples."
I've worked, one way or another, for the Departments of Defense, Interior and Veterans Affairs. Mostly they are good, dedicated people doing their best. But, like any other hierarchical organization (say most major religions or corporations), one or two "bad" can overshadow all of the "good worker bees."
Lastly, this discussion has been, mostly, civil. Somebody once said that you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. It ain't that hard, good people. I REALLY don't like like terms like "libertard" or "conservatard" or whatever. I like little simple three, four, five letter words that I used to, shall we say "encourage and inform" people when I was a Sergeant, which is the "Highest Title Of Respect" that anybody can hope for!
PS. I apologize for that last sentence to those of you that served in the Military (of any nation) as Officers, and thought that you were actually running things!
;) ;) ;)
