To this point I've been doing mostly studio/portrait/model work... and have done a few scenic photos, but nothing really close up and natural.
I really wish to know who others see these images, with constructive comments/criticism. All were shot with a 55-200mm 4-5.6 AF DX VR Nikon almost all of the shots were taken at least 15 feet away. The last one was shot within 3 feet when I saw a bug on the leaf, as I was walking bye.

Let me know what you think of composition... etc. Let me know if I missed any details you might want to know.
Thanks

I like the composition in each and the lighting in all.
A few more from the same area.
I love the play with light.

It changes so fast... you could take a hundred photos, of each of those images, throughout the day and they'd all be different and have a different "feel".
Nice focus on them...some look like poison ivy..are they?

Yeah, probably are. I've never had a reaction to those plants ever, and I've walked through a lot, by mistake most times. So I've never really worried about it, so I never learned to identify it.
Ya did good, well done!!!

Nicely caught flash, you can't beat early or late sunshine to bring out the best of wildlife photography.

Thank you. I've always preferred to compose in the viewfinder as I see it, than in post-production (that is unless I really screw it up) or unless I notice a really distracting point of reference that was on the fringe of the capture that I didn't catch. I know, nature isn't always pretty, but I do my best to show her good side. Someday I may try shooting ugly stuff to see if I can make it interesting.
Here's a couple more... one you may notice one I punched up a "little" bit, because it really looked interesting but was very "flat".

Thank you for the compliment on the composition... but the light was purely luck that I was at the right place and the right time, and like many photographers / artists given the ability to see beauty in all it's forms.
