i need help!

can one of you pp experts out there take this picture and make it the baby on a black background, just the baby ...thanks for your help i use paintshop pro and am not good enough to fix it like i see it in my mind

Didn't know if you were aware of the post-processing section on UHH. It has great tutorials and there are always members willing to help with specific issues. Here's the forum:

Tried a few things, hope you like em....
1e try:
made the BG black and added soft canvas structure
2e try:
Canvas a little harder, and a little correction under the eye

how hard was it to get the black background, did you have to paint it in or cut her out and then put on the black background? i have corel paintshop pro, wonder if i can do it with that . can you do one more for me? please
i cut the top of her head off a little, im still learning this stuff lol

It wasn't easy took some time to make a good selection around the head...
You can do it in different ways:
1e you make a copy from the BG layer work on that....
Make a selection with the pen tool or with the lasso..
Then create a new layer on top and color it in with black , erase parts that don't look good...
2e
you can make a selection with the mask tool , mask the area you want to keep Green ) , invert it and paint it black...or mask the selection you want to have black , erase that , copy the selection on to a new black background and adjust it....by erasing or cloning...

This image you put up now is more difficult because you need to have the lose hair in there , making a selection is done best by masking...
Give it a try your self, it's the best way to learn.....

i see that now with the loose hair, thanks for the instructions, ill have to take some betters ones inside where the hair is in control..thank you!
