Hi everyone!
I am pretty excited to be taking up a new hobby, partly inspired by a recent trip to the Grand Canyon. I just purchased a mid range subcompact Cannon Sure Shot SX 280 HS) to begin with.
My plans are to get educated and gain some experience and then invest in more sophisticated equipment.
I look forward to reading, learning and sharing!
Here is a couple of oldies I took with my Olympus that recently went to camera heaven.

yes, have come to understand there is big debate on which is better, Nikon or Cannon. I don't know enough to have an educated opinion, but heard you can't go wrong with either.
