I set my camera on manual, ISO 100, F-11, opened shutter for anywhere from 10 sec to 1 min. As soon as lightning flashed, I closed the shutter. A lot of it is simply right time right place. It is a blast to do. Give it a try, you will love it.

I have had reasonable success here in central west coast Florida http://www.denniswarren.com/Other/Sometimes-Daily-Posts/i-RFMktkX I've used the "Strike Finder" lightning trigger...it can be researched here http://www.ubertronix.com/

These are fantastic shots.I have tryed to capture lighting for years still can not get a satisfactory shot. You did great. :thumbup: :thumbup:
