Look closely. The installer has used PVC for electrical conduit. It screws into the cap containing the electrical junction bos.
Well, I didn't think about that! Looking at it, it looks like the water connection. It's actually the old black rolled plastic water line on RMM's well head. You can still buy it, but it's pretty much worthless to be used for a water line. After a few years they start to weep water through them and won't hold water pressure. I've helped replace several of them because of that.
Guess I should ask, are you talking about RMM's photo or mine? I wouldn't think you could see the one in my photo that well, even if it was blown up.
Is that a deadly serpent in your driveway???

From time to time, people complain that they've lost their inspiration, or express envy that someone else lives where there are such great scenes to photograph.
So, here's a little challenge: Step out the door and find something within 100 feet that's worth taking a photograph. Maybe you'll just turn around and take a photo of the door. Or a pot of flowers. Birds feeding. If you're in an apartment, maybe the geometry of wall and floor.
Here's a photo of our wellhead to get the fun started.

I took this through the window. The tree stump is 10 feet from the house. Birds and squirrels love it.
Forgot the pic!
Thanks RRM for the ideas.I do run out of new material to shoot.
This is not a new photo, but it happens every day An Inca Dove outside my window, about 30 feet from the front door.
Just outside my back door.

My son took this shot in our back yard of me trying to teach my grandson to hit a baseball. I told him to keep his eye on the ball. I guess he took me too literally.
I have a feeder on this branch at the edge of the deck. I can open the door and take photos of the goldfinches 6 ft away. Usually the light is wrong, but in the afternoon it is a bit better. The flicker was taken from the window on the other side of the house, better light.

Here is a picture my wife took this morning...and yeah technically its a snapshot...but there is a story behind it.
A friend of a friend died and left these 2 mustangs behind...and we are the go to horse people for our friends...so we have been "appointed" to find them good homes. They have the BLM freeze brand...and are "partially trained"...
If anyone in the Chattanooga TN area wants a few good horses in good health as projects...please PM me...not for kids...or folks without a good deal of horse experience

Some taken from my deck into my yard.

This little guy was exploring and I scared him when I went out on deck. I guess he thought if he couldn't see me I couldn't see him!
Quick--gotta hide!

I went outside to experiment with the off camera flash triggered from my Nikon d7000. Luckily I have some very patient humming birds in my yard
