just lately ive noticed this flashing message on this site saying you have a message and a little envelope enticing you to open it, well i thought if its on this site it cant be bad ! when i hit on the message it says ive won 3 grands worth of holiday now i am far from gullible and know things like this are a scam but was just curious why the site owners would have such adds on this site ? now if this is what they have to do to generate funds to run the site then so be it, but it will be at the expense of its users who will think there getting something for nothing when in reality there probably gonna be scammed somewhere along the line if they buy into this type of ad-ware ! i did Google the site it directs you to and it don't get good reviews ! why are such sites on here i wonder ?

Do you mean this one?

They're all over the internet. I got one on Facebook telling my I was the ten millionth visitor to the site, and then got the same thing two weeks later. So nobody had used Facebook in two weeks?

If you'll install the FREE Ad-Blocker --- you won't see those or other ads

The simple solution is an Ad Blocker -- which everyone should have whether you're viewing UHH or any other website .... It's simply a necessity in today's WWW environment.

Install Adblock PRO -- a free download for both Google Chrome and MS Internet Explorer. You'll eliminate all your pop-ups from any site. http://adblock-pro.en.softonic.com/

This one for iPad -- also one available for Safari

http://download.cnet.com/AdBlock-for-iOS-Must-Have-App-for-iOS-7-for-iPhone-iPad-and-iPod...

Also available from the Google App Store.

According to those ads, by now I have won 20 million dollars, I can claim 100 free iPads, and the entire female populations of Russia, China, and Thailand want to date me, along with every American woman over 50 with huge boobs.

Ad blockers can work well but they can also slow everything down. I just ignore the ads.

I haven't noticed a decrease in performance, but what a transformation when I installed the blocker. Can only recommend it.

Don't knock them until you've tried them. I signed up for one of those "enlarge your manhood" ads, then I signed up for twenty more. They worked. Trouble is, I now have problems turning around in confined spaces. The most embarrassing moment was when I got jammed at a junction in Hampton Court Maze.
