A Struggle To Live On

I took this photo this morning early, because I thought it reminded me of "me". Even though it has been laying on this concrete slab for over two years now, no sap left in it, nor moisture, it continues to struggle to remain alive.
Myself, I have been through six major cancer surgeries, one heart attack and one stroke, but I keep struggling on.

Thank you Yooper 2. I've had so much chemo and radiation over the past few years that sometimes I just feel like giving up, but somehow that will to live as you mention, keeps popping up and giving me the strength to keep going.
