I went through a 25LB bag of sugar this year. These pics were taken in 2009.

Were you using a tripod or just handholding. What kind of camera? settings?

I was holding the cam in my left hand and it's my Canon power shot A 620 and just on auto.

Your LEFT hand appears to be holding a birdfeeder, but then I never saw a Canon power shot A620. Maybe that's what they look like. ;-)

Nice capture. I had no idea hummers where that tame.

I LOVE all of these! I've been trying to attract some hummers to my yard for a few years, finally got a few last year on their way through the area. Problem was they only appeared at dusk! Also, we only get one kind down here, Ruby Throated. I dying to get some pics, but your are great!

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush... I think I can see 5 birds in your hand... lets see... 5 x 2 = 10! Yes you have 10 birds in the bush worth?

Your pics are priceless, you must have very good energy to have the hummers trust you enough to come to you like that. The only one I can get to come near me is the one tattoed on my ankle. LOL. Great shots, especially without the use of a tripod. Keep snapping.

One question.
How long did it take for the hummers to come to you
like that ?
I only have three Ruby Throated, well two now as the male
has left.
