I caught this little critter after it had attempted to get to the bird feeders... by the time I had my camera set-up for the day he had given up and was probably thinking out his next plan of attack... I placed the bird feeders out on a small limb and making sure the squirrels couldn't reach the feeder from any adjacent limbs within a 360 degree sphere... those little rascals are crafty when it comes to food... they do get a fair share of seeds that have fallen to the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if the squirrels grabbed the string holding the bird feeders and pull it up or shook the seeds out.
They are very crafty critters and it's almost impossible to keep them away from something they want. Very nice shots!

You've captured him well,Bruce, like I could reach out and touch him. Looking at those feet, one can understand why there is very little that can deter him if he wants it. Appear quite sharp and nibble.

Nice set.
Great catch! Had feeders 12 feet up, suspended on wire between tree and house. Mama Bear would stand up to tree, pushing against trunk, causing wire to jump up and down, spilling seed, feeders on ground.

Great shots Bruce, I quit hanging my feeders in trees. I've had the rascals shimmy down the hanging string to get to the chow. They are clever. :-D
Now you did a great job. They are fun to photograph and watch....Rich

Thanks Heirloom Tomato... I appreciate your comments... That little guy is doing a stretching act getting to the upper bird feeder... holds onto the small branch with his back feet and throws his front paws out onto the feeder and holds on while getting seeds... I'll have to move the feeder out a little further to keep him off of the feeder...
P.S. I was walking by the window and saw him doing it... he let go and cleared out before I got to my camera...
