Another one of my Fake Moon shots...

Well Folks, I missed out on the big lunar eclipse because of rain that night. I was really disappointed but really enjoyed seeing the great job so many of you did. It kind of got me to itch'n to take a moon shot. So I took one last night. I added my usual fake star field to make it more interesting. Looks like we're flying by in our UFO on the way to concur the Earth. Enjoy Friends...yah, I know, everyone's sick of moon images by now.

Nice moon! We missed the eclipse, too, because of clouds and rain. But they say there will be another in October.

Wow, I'm so happy to hear that...didn't know but glad you told me. Now I'm not so sad I missed it. Do you know what night? Thanks for stopping by...

But you will have to be in the Pacific Northwest or further out into the Pacific to see the good stuff. The show in the eastern US will not be that good.

I also missed the eclipse because of overcast skies.
Did get a shot the night before. Maybe this fox was on the moon orbiter they just crashed into the moon. :D

Gorgeous, James! I think this is the most natural, sharp without looking over-sharpened, full moon image I've seen on UHH!

Yea, it's hard to find the right balance...to much zoom and it becomes overpowering, not enough...then it's tiny. I love your versions with land objects included. But for this one...I stepped out in my robe in the middle of the night around 3:30am...couldn't sleep. Saw how pretty it looked, went back inside to get the camera... just had to try to get a pretty shot. Someday I need to add some tree branch silhouettes.

Very nice. I would never get sick of seeing moon shots. I love the moon. I wish I could take pictures of the darn thing.
