Living here you almost take this for granted. I was able to get down to the Tidal Basin for about an hour on Thursday to catch them at peak.

On my bucket list for next Spring. I love the D.C. area, have been there in summer and winter, but never Spring! some beautiful shots here!!!

Does the Army still spotlight them at night? That was the highlight of the spring season when I was there in the late 1960's!

Beautiful images! I don't have a lot of fond memories of living in the DC area, but these are definitely one of them :)

In answer to the question about Army lighting them up at night, I don't believe so. They haven't done so in awhile and now with all the government cutbacks :x
