Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.

Written by a USMC Vet. (I can't argue with any of it. Passing it along as it was received.)

He wrote:

The American Dream ended (on November 6th) in Ohio. The second term of Barack Obama will be the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest Republic in the history of mankind.

A coalition of Blacks, Latinos, Feminists, Gays, Government Workers, Union Members, Environmental Extremists, The Media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the "forever needy," the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other "fellow travelers" have ended Norman Rockwell's America.

The Cocker Spaniel is off the front porch. The Pit Bull is in the back yard. The American Constitution has been replaced with Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and Chicago shyster, David Axelrod, along with international Socialist George Soros will be pulling the strings on their beige puppet to bring us Act 2 of the New World Order.

Our side ran two candidates who couldn't even win their own home states, and the circus fatster, Chris Christie, helped Obama over the top with a glowing "post Sandy" tribute that elevated the "Commander-in-Chief" to Mother Teresa status. (Aside: with the way the polls were run, he didn't need any help!)

People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will never again comment on or concern myself with the aforementioned coalition which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired.

You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take Zealots, not moderates & shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status.

Those who come after us will have to risk their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to "white guilt" and political correctness...

An American Veteran………………….. Semper-Fi .

And since neither of the two current two major parties can get the job done, maybe it is time for a new party. On but that has been tried and did not work out either because they could not get enough support. More thought is needed for this problem and I mean now.

Not to worry it will not be a two party race, the Republicans think they can make it but it is to early for them. It will be a while before that happens. They think that the voting public forgets the antics they have pulled and are pulling every day but they won't. Even their acknowledgment of the success of ACA as they are doing now will not help them.

Ahhh, but slavery was common through out Europe back in the day, so it was not isolated as a US issue - it's just we made world news with the civil war and made for good topic at the morning coffee...

And the slaves who were "kidnapped", were taken by black traders who then sold them to black ships captains who brought them north to sell them to the black handlers / traders and sellers who would then auction them off.

Since this was common practice in Europe, and we migrated from Europe, we were just following traditions... And it was not seen as being wrong at the time...

Speaking of traditions, it is my understanding that "serfs" provided pretty much free labor to feed the coffers of the nobility in Europe much like the slaves in the Americas. So I don't see much difference between serf or slave - except the spelling and perspective...

History, or hindsight, is always 20-20, and as the English say - "It was not our finest hour". And unfortunately, slavery is still present in some parts of the world.

All we can do is live right, provide positive examples for our children and hope for the best...

You have to accept that you will lose another election in 2016 unless your party gets behind somebody rational, none of the tea party crazies.

Do you mean another "kinder, gentler Brezhnev" type candidate like the Rockefeller, Ford, Bush, Boehner, Rove wing of the party keeps offering up? Do you mean another Dole, McCain or Romney? That worked out so incredibly well, didn't it?

Go back to your "Occupy" protest. We don't need your advice.

I really have no idea what you mean by my "Occupy" protest. Do you mean another thread?

I just stated the truth, you can like or dislike it, I really don't care. Do you think that Raphael Cruz, Rand Paul, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann wing of your party has a chance? Good luck. Rational ppl call them crazy.

No, you stated (at best) the truth as you see it. BTW, that is not intended as an insult, the same description fits every human being at all times, including myself. Nobody human has all the facts or can perfectly evaluate what facts he does have.

Other rational people have other opinions on the subject of optimal GOP electoral strategy.

Nobody is going to trust yours because it sounds just like the advice that democrat strategists (who presumably don't want them to win) have been giving the GOP for years and the same strategy the party apparatchiks have been pursuing with at best borderline success (and more usually failure) for decades. The last GOP candidate who won with landslides was Reagan, who those apparatchiks opposed almost as fervently as the dems did, and who saddled him with one of their own-- Bush Sr.

I was just pointing out where it looks like your definition of "rational people" points. And that is somewhere to the left.

Rocket, the ones I'm talking about are Michele Bachmann, Louie Ghomert, etc. I could add Ted Cruz to that, he'd go on different shows on TV and said he wasn't responsible for shutting the government down. I wish there was a two party system still but the TP has taken on a life of their own.

Rave on mad duck, you'll find your puddle! If you had one ounce of integrity, you will realize that the TP would like to get this country back to reducing our debt and debit. Harry Reid and the rest of the "bama Brown Shirts" would rather block any reform the Republicans offer and shut down the government as he and Osama did. It's time to pry your lips off of Obama's A$$.
