Sorry, I meant to answer your question earlier. No, these are taken with a bridge camera. It has built in intelligence that determines if a scene is a close up and automatically puts the camera in macro mode.

Next time I want to shoot flowers I'll have to skip Balboa Park go by the Lowe's garden center. Excellent series James.
