Great shots Regis. I do love that Tamron 150-600mm lens!

Do you like the lens because of the photos or do you love it because you have one? If You have one have you tried it with you canon T3i....Rich

I have pre ordered the Tamron 600 but I have the 7D I don't know how that lens will work. There is a lot of negative talk on that an on the 5D mark III with this lens

Very good shots. I am still waiting on my Tamron 150-600mm but I have been reading a lot. Which metering mode are you using on your Canon 6D?

Nicely caught, Regis. Beautiful birds and great wing position in the photos. Good work!

They are great captures Regis. So in the program setting you set ISO only and let the camera pick the rest is that right?

Thank you, infocus. The program handles the in-camera extra sharp setting and limits the ISO settings to 6500 which I can over-ride if I have to. The camera, as you said, does the rest. However, if I take a BIF shot on a cloudy day I will manually up the ISO setting. I set my metering to 'spot' for my wildlife shots using the extra-sensitive center focusing point only which can focus using just moonlight.

I like the lens because of the detailed photos it takes. I don't have any other cameras except for my Canon 6D. I sold all my other cameras.

William, The 7D will work well under normal lighting conditions. It's when you get into cloudy skies or dark background conditions which the Canon 6D or the Canon 5D Mark 3, with it's higher ISO settings provided by the DIGIC 5+ sensor (top of the line), will give you a smooth but very sharp photo. The DIGIC 5+ sensor is the latest and combining it with the full-frame cameras makes it very powerful. I had a Canon 60D (APS-C) and used it with the Sigma 150-500mm and 50-500mm lenses and got great shots when the lighting was good or optimal.
