I am looking at a Canon 10D body for $125.00 as a second camera to my Canon LS1, is this a good price or should i keep looking? I know this is an older camera but I think the price is decent, but just wanting a second opinion.
camera 10D
It was a good camera. I think it would be a good back up. I don't think you will get anything decent for a lesser price.
On e-bay the prices are all over the place, if you get it with
a lens at that price it might be worth it.
Get a second body that has the same batteries as your first camera.
the 10D was my first DSLR, it was good in its day but it didn't handle high ISO well and went through batteries quickly. and only 6 MP I think.
IMO I would look for a newer body. I currently have a rebel T2i as a backup for my 7D both 18mp. I have seen used T2i & T3i pretty cheap
I use KEH for pricing of used camera equipment. Their highest rated 10D body (EX+) is $89 that you can return within 2 weeks for any reason. If just the body, seems you'd be paying quite a bit too much ....
Thanks all, some great input, the T3I is what i think I will hold out for thanks for the advice. as for the battery i dont think any bodies are using my battery at this time, but dont quote me on that.
I would be glad to sell you my 10D for same price with two lens and flash that goes with it. I haven't used it for some time, still works great. I have a 60D and 70D that I use.
Let me know. If you aren't happy with the equipment I will take it back.

I still use a 10D as a second camera and it never lets me down, I find it good on batteries (which are available at very low prices and I have always used non Canon) Some will worry about the low pixel count but still produces decent images. The price you are being quoted seems at least double that you would expect to pay.
