I live in Baltimore and we have Service Photo. They stock Nikon, Canon, Fuji, Leica and perhaps a few others sparsely. Very knowledgeable and great service. It is a tough business and I make my major purchases from them to support them even though they are more expensive because I have to pay sales tax. The major brands are fair traded so if an internet price looks cheaper, read the fine print carefully.

Bergen County Camera in Westwood NJ. 10 minute drive from where I live in NY. Great prices, great selection and a friendly staff that knows their stuff. Photo classes for all levels and photo field trips. Online sales as well. GREAT camera store!
I just bought my fuji xt-1 there. Nice people...helpful. 25 miles from my home.
Also went to Unique Photo in Fairfield, N.J. Very helpful staff, but 50 miles from home.
Camera Land in NYC doesn't have all the brands, but staff is very nice.
Pro Camera in Charlottesville, Virginia. The owner, Bill Moretz, is a wonderful guy, as are his employees. They are k knowledgeable and caring. I much prefer to buy local even if it costs more because of the vital interest and energy exchange. We had two other good stores plus a Ritz. Now gone.

Where shooter? No matter where I go it's a drive! There's none close here.
In Phoenix there is one that is pretty popular. Foto Forum carries most major brands, tons of knowledge. They love to talk photography. Lots of photographers on sales staff. Product knowledge is best I have experienced. My first choice.
In nearby Tempe, we have Tempe camera and repair. Bigger by far, they offer new and used equipment, sales and rentals, camera and lens repair, classes, seminars, pretty sure they do matting and faming as well. Plenty of staff, not afraid to recommend used if it fits your needs.
Like Foto Forum for general expertise and competitive prices and location. Like Tempe for their inventory, some killer deals on used equipment, overall services but visit less often. Whatever one does not have, the other will.
Although not a full service camera stores, have stopped buying anything from Best Buy due to their return policy. Both Costco and Walmart have good return policies if you decide to purchase there, either in store or online.
Favorite online store is B&H. Second favorite is Cameta Camera. Have been using Amazon less and less due to increased prices and recently added taxes to purchases.
In Santa Barbara, CA it would have to be Samy's Camera.
In Colorado Springs, CO it would have to Cameraworks.
I get good prices at both stores and their sales people are knowledgeable about all things camera whether it be cameras, carrying cases, lighting, computer hook-ups, to developing.

Five locations for National Camera in the Twin Cities. Burnsville and Golden Valley have been the stores the most helpful to me and my needs. Very professional and knowledgeable. What they can not do for me West Photo off East Hennepin in Minneapolis will carry. We are lucky here that either of the two stores are within close driving range.

We used to have others but they went away. I even miss IPAS, the eclectic one one in the Crossroads district. Do a lot of on-line business now for work.
I've bought stuff from Overland Photo in Overland Park. Here in Springfield, MO; it is Lawrence Photo. good store with good service.
they match internet prices on Nikon gear but paying the sales tax is an expense of buying locally.
First Photo - Duluth, MN.
I live a couple blocks from what used to be my favorite local store, the Philadelphia Calumet.
