Hi from Cape Town

Hello everyone :)
I am from Cape Town, South Africa.
I have enjoyed photography as a hobby for many years, but was mainly self-taught until recently. I took part in a few workshops and must say my work has changed for the better. I do tend be a bit self-conscious and worry that my pics are lacking.
Childrens portraiture and landscapes have been my favourite subject....and I am finding myself drawn to the challenge of wedding photography!
I currently shoot with a Nikon D7000 and am planning on going full frame soon. I am still debating Nikon D610 vs D800 :)
Looking forward to being part of this forum.

Welcome aboard! I really like the picture of swan with the fishing floats. I've never been sure about swan gender. Is that a buoy swan or a gull swan?

Hi, Jacotte. Welcome aboard. In your intro you were musing over the D610 or the D800. Depends on whether you think the cost between the two is worth it. I have a D600 because I personally didn't need the 36MP. There are only slight differences between the two. The D610 is physically a bit smaller. There are many web sites that examine both together.
