Hi Dave,
Anyone or anything will only die if you forget, So laugh and smile at what you had, and not cry at what you no don't see anymore.

I wish you luck

Geoff

Carlysue, Heirloom, Myrna, Laskalass, Vietvet, Gwr100, Sirnapalot'Stash, Jwt and to any other hoggers I have not responded to. I appreciate your kind words which soften the pain. Sammy will be in my heart forever but will think of the good times and not the emptiness that we have now. He was a large part of our family as was our other dogs. I look forward to meeting him again at Rainbow Bridge.

Our family thanks you

Dave

I always hate to hear of the loss of a dear companion. It always takes me back to the losses I've felt over the years with my four legged family members. But you know what??? Every time I'm reminded now of those losses, it brings more smiles than tears, as I always remember the good they brought to my life.
It's hard at a time like this, but always remember that we don't own them...they are "on loan" to us! They will be called back, and we will be judged by how well we took care of and treated them. This I believe!!!

I feel very heart-broken for you. We have two Bishons and I know it will also be very hard to see them leave us. They become almost as important as your human siblings.

Dave I know the pain you are going through. Six years ago we had to put down 2 cats, 2 weeks apart from each other. Someone gave this to me at the time: It's Called the Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
