Close or closer?

I would like a little feedback on these two cropped versions. Never mind the camera shake.

Each seems to have it's own merits :|

I'm for close..It shows more than a water drop on the edge of a leaf. Tells a story, shows where that drop came from. Better composition in my view.

To my subjective taste I like the first better. The composition is nice and you do not have the loss of detail that is evident in the closer crop. 8-)

I think "closer" needed to be much sharper to work as well as it could have.

Great shots Flyextreme, I like the 2nd one better but its hard for me to define exactly why. :) :thumbup:
