I received a Canon 6D for my 70th birthday from my wife. I have ordered a Tamron 150-600mm recently but it is on backorder. Can't wait to try it out.

Well, LightBender, you and I are both 70 and you have the Canon 6D plus you will be getting the Tamron 150-600mm lens. We have a lot in common. This camera and lens were made in heaven. You will enjoy it.

The details on the birds are very nice indeed. It's amazing to see what the new technology allows one to do even with a high ISO.

Well, it is a good lens and investment. They are so popular that you could keep one for a year and sell it and then get your money back if you don't like it.

Regis, do you use the High ISO Speed Noise Reduction for shots like this?

The top two photos did not need any noise reduction, but the last one did. I use Topaz 5 DeNoise program when necessary as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. It's very easy to use and does a terrific job.

Hello,

Excellent results, to be sure. With my point-and-shoot cameras I start getting nervous around ISO 200! Well done!

Thank you very much, Tony. You shouldn't have any noise in your photos under 800 ISO. The program 'Topaz DeNoise 5' will get rid of the photo noise.
