Thanks for the thought.
PPAC and Basho are less than a half a mile from me.
Hey Sailor's Mom,
Did you see the commissioning ceremony at Penns Landing of the USS Somerset-LPD 25 on 3/1/14? Great ship with a special name, in honor of the crew of flight 93 on 9/11. My grand daughter is on a "sister" ship, the USS Green Bay-LPD 20.
GO NAVY!

Only saw it on the news on tv. Hey, you're in Souderton? We used to go to church in Silverdale and have many friends up there! We still get together about once a month. Jamie Moyer is from Souderton (which I'm sure you know!), and we're friends with a man who was his teacher at Souderton HS!

Welcome to our toy box. We have lots of fun here.
Small world!
I bet I know which church in Silverdale.
If you would want to see more about the commissioning ceremony at Penns Landing just "google" it. Very interesting.
Hope to meet you out photographing the beauty sometime.
Wayne
There's only one church in Silverdale, Wayne..on 113. Ya can't miss it! :)
Did you ever visit there?
I have not, But my wife may have. She lived there for a short time back in the 50s. Not sure.
I have tried, here, to attach a picture of the church. I can't see if it will work or not. The picture is of Brethren in Christ Church.
My wife was in the foster children program from Phila. at that time & lived with a few people until she graduated from Pennridge High School in 1955. We both came from Phila., Frankford section, met in Allentown, married in Perkasie, and lived near these parts most of the time.
The second attached picture is of the house we built on Diamond St., (1715) back in the 70s. We sold it in 1987 or 88. Like I said, small world!

Wayne, this is a small world! We have good friends who live in a rancher on Diamond St. and the house looked very much like yours! They sold it and moved to Virginia. Yes, that's Silverdale Church alright! We attended there for about 20 years but are now attending a church that's closer to home here in Horsham. Small world!
Is the name of the people you know that lived on Diamond St. "Schwenk"? (may not be proper spelling)
He was the principal or superintendent of Pennridge High School.
This "world" may be getting smaller.
Wayne
No, their last name is Heine. They attended Silverdale and she was the church secretary for awhile. I asked them what their number was on Diamond St. and it was 2502..on the other side of the road from you and you were closer to 113.
OK
I don't know them.
A good neighborhood. Kind of wish I still lived there.
