Sunset through the bushes....nice colors and DOF.
This is another one where it's much better when downloaded.

It's very nice, Brent and you are quite right about the download. Any idea why some look worse when downloaded?

Most images that I download that look worse to me are usually because they are not clear, crisp and in focus. This image is very clear, crisp and in focus (on the bush). That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I was looking at a pic the other day and it looked worse when downloaded. Maybe too much compression, I don't know. Yours however is fantastic.

I usually make my photos 10" wide and about 150dpi. Often times I will sharpen the images if I feel they need it.
Those are my secrets! SSShhhhhhhhhhh!!! Don't tell anyone!

Very Nice Brent. The burning bush. Moses would be proud.

I like this very much, I just love abstract sunsets instead of the usual sun over the hill or sun on the horizon, lovely, well done

Thanks so much Martin. It's nice to be appreciated for my efforts and I would guess that most of the UHH members won't appreciate this image.
BTW, I looked at your only photo post and am very impressed. Everyone here should check out your creative way of using photography.

That's a good story Brent, I'd stick to it as well. Nice photo btw.
Another issue worth paying attention to is the size ratio of your photo. The forum software likes 600 to 400 or 1.5 to 1, or 3 to 2. Your photo here is 1.5 to 1 so the forum software can resize it quickly and accurately. The full download doesn't do any resizing
so that will always look best, or at least exactly as you presented it.

Thanks BigDaddy for your info. I have to say that I had no idea that I was actually doing it right with my 1.5 to 1 ratio. I'm glad you told me!

Thank you so much Brian. It's fun to always look through the lens for new and different ways to shoot things. I love messing with DOF in photos.
