Great job on getting such good, clear photos of these elusive animals. I've never seen one in the wild, myself... Enjoyed very much!

I live bordering a National Wildlife Refuge and have been able to observe (among many other things) this pack of 6 Coyotes almost daily. They are all different, have slight variations in their faces, and have really been fascinating to watch their behaviors. I know alot of people dislike them, but I have found them to be really cool. Of course I am not a cat owner!

Outstanding! Thank you for sharing not only this set, but how you take them and your philosophy. Just shows there are many ways to get superb shots.

I was at 550 mm (1/160 f4.9) on the Stretching photo, the full 1000mm (1/400 f5.7) on the face portrait, and 550mm for the 3 lying down. Sorry, I forgot to look it up on the data when I posted.

They look well fed. Do put food out for them?

NO! They are sporting their winter coats so they all look pretty fat right now. That is why I like taking photos at this time of year. In my summer pictures they are pretty thin and not nearly so nice looking; you wouldn't know they are the same animals it is such a difference. This is a Wildlife Refuge so we are not supposed to do anything with the wildlife except observe. We have a neighbor that throws the fruit that drops off his trees out into the Refuge and I have seem them eat that though (oranges, pomegranites and avocados). Other than the Thanksgiving turkey carcass, I have resisted the urge!

Nice photos and I like the fact they were done with something you could pack around with you. I live on a ranch and my smallest camera is the easiest and days like yesterday whe we we're in the yucky corrals, not as much a worry when the mud and poop are flying!

beautiful animals and how great it is that you have learned their differences,(colors and personalities). Cities keep encroaching on their habitat and then we complain that they're a "bother".
