Since its creation by me, and with the blessing of Admin, the Section "Video for DSLR ." receives extremely low traffic. What an understatement!
This is due, I suspect, to a combination of little interest(perhaps), and no visibility. Interest is dependent of visibility. If there are no postings to the Video Section from the previous day, Video for DSLR, does not appear of the digest page
So post away!
Catch 22 all over the place!
Never have I ever used so many !!! all over the place!
I found the tutorial interesting. I'm sure there are more who are interested in video for DSLRs but just don't know the topic is there. I'll hang in there with you and let's see what happens.
I think part of the issue is that making and submitting a video is a longer term project than submitting a picture to the gallery. Also I think photographs by their nature are somewhat anonymous. They may tell a bit about the photographer, but only in an oblique way. Just like a picture is worth a thousand words, a video with sound is probably worth a thousand pictures. And I think they tell a lot about the videographer.
There may be just a few of us on this forum, but I think we can keep it alive if we contribute comments and share our interests.

Sure would be nice if we could upload videos from our DSLR's to this site. What are the chances of that happening?
Hi Madman,
It may make more sense to upload them to Youtube or Vimeo and just give the link here. I uploaded a youtube video link here a week ago. I've had 11 views but no comments from the UHH members. With no comments or discussion it seems pointless to upload them here. At least on youtube I get no comments from millions of people. :)

You might be right about that. I have never uploaded to Youtube, but I'm guessing that anything posted there becomes effectively public property. I have had a video lifted from Facebook and used by a local realtor. Here, I have more confidence that I can show my work without giving it a way.
I have just started a Vimeo account, but haven't got anything posted to it yet. When I do, I will add the address to my profile.
Thank you for your response.

Good luck Madman.
Thank you. BTW, I did check out your Youtube video earlier after you made reference to it. Considering that it was taken some years ago, the quality is quite good, and the subject matter is incredible.
Thanks very much Madman. Post a link when you post a video on Vimeo.

Hi. I think the topic is great. I found it a few days ago. I didn't know it was here. I just put a question in the photography forum and somebody told me about it. I thank him for it. I like taking pictures and videos a lot, but editing is the best. I am very happy I found this topic.

I liked the second one a lot with the flashes of light and color on the mountains. Was that lightening or the sun peeking through?

Hi Bob,
Thanks for replying. It was neither.
It was cars driving by our group campsite, and the headlights painting the rocks.
I'm just getting started with time lapse and enjoying learning.
It also gives me the freedom to "set it, and forget it" while I play with my telescope, sit around the campfire, or sleep. ;)
I have another,
Feeders Abuzz, I made of hummingbirds visiting 2 of my 7 feeders.
I kind of thought maybe this was a good place to post about them. Kind of a nowhere's land, single photographs made into a video.
I have a ways to go... ;)
Hi Sonny,
For some reason the link didn't work. I got a Page Not Found. Yes, this is as good a place as any to post time lapse sequences. I believe a few of the older posts in this section have some time lapse sequences.
