You all are warming me up! Thanks! Was shocked this morning to look out and see 2 bluebirds at our feeder! Never seen them here in winter. They are shy, no time for tripod. Quick snapped and didn't realize until download there were 3! Best photo? Not, but it was a great sight. The other 2 pictures I took of our blue birds growing last spring/summer.
Hey Pat...#3...If I were a bird, I'd like to be as cute as that..

Thanks, RR. They are beautiful. Have a tiny Pentax Optio about as big as a credit card and while husband opened their house daily, I slipped a camera in and shot. Got some pretty good ones and loved documenting their growth. I am sure you would be just as cute - definitely as "brilliant"

Nice pictures.
#3 Reminds me of the old song "My Beautiful Balloon". Don't even know if that is the title, but it is in the song. "up, Up and Away" is maybe the title? Anyway - love those colors in that shot.
Here are our State Flower the California Poppy. They grow wild all over the place in spring. We actually mow around them in the lawn until late spring because they are so pretty. I don't know how many will bloom this year because we haven't even had a real snow yet but here are some from years past.

Our House in Spring full of "weeds"
What a great bunch of photos today! All of these are so great!

Welcome to Day 26. Can't tell you how much enjoyment I am getting out of everybody's postings. Y'all are awesome.
So today is all about bringing spring early to everyone who lives in the great white north. Colors ... Colors ... Colors.
Let's beat Punxsatawney Phil to the punch and kick the next six weeks of winter in the butt. Let's brighten everybody's day with some lovely colors.
Here are a few to get us started.
These pictures were taken at the aquarium at Legoland over the weekend. I was amazed how good the pictures turned out, given I was using my IPhone 4S and no flash - amazing! :-)

Very nice shots dmnellis (Pg 4)
Just goes to show you can find color in more places then a flower garden. I love the coral photos. The way the light filters through the water gives it kind of a painting effect. Nice capture!! quote=dmnellis52 quote=photogrl57 Welcome to Day... (

Thanks Skip! I am continually amazed at the quality of pictures that come from my IPhone....the colors were just so vivid....they almost didn't look real, ya know? :-)
Zoey is beautiful. Yorkies are a great deal smaller than Zoey so I see why you would call them that. I have 2 mixed breeds. One is a beagle/australian shepherd mix and he is my boy, precious! I bottle fed him from the day he was born. Then I have a mastiff mixed with something or other, she was bottle fed from the time she was 3 days old. I absolutely love my dogs. They have japanese names kuma (the boy, means bear) and sakura (the girl means something like desert flower). They are exact opposites - lol - sakura will lick anything or anyone to death, kuma is shy and a loner. Ok, enough of my blabbering
Zoey means "giver of life" and was less than 4lbs when I got her. As a white boxer, breeders typically get rid of them because they are genetic flaws. She wasn'r growing but was full of spunk. I took her and put her on a different food, my last boxer died from a name brand food tainted with mad cow disease. I was there for her birth etc... Zoey is my rock and her worst flaw if it can be called that is she can be overly affectionate. she will lick you to death. A real lover.
Well, I hope you sued the dog food company first of all. I know it doesn't bring your dog back but it does make the company accountable. I didn't know boxers were so affectionate, is that a boxer trait or just a Zoey trait? Sakura is like that, a very affectionate dog, she just loves everyone and everything.
