If you're not outraged you should be and I mean both liberal and conservative.

We are a nation of laws, its the law and its enforcement that prevents chaos and brings civility to our nation. Our nation is a nation of laws that the people of this great land support and when a law is outdated or becomes intolerant we as a people abolish the law through our representatives in a lawful manner. Today our federal Attorneys General flat out told the states Attorneys General to ignore the law and went on to say that there were times when it was appropriate to ignore the laws the people institute. How can this be??? If a law is a bad law then it is up to the states legislatures to abolish or change said law. For an individual (Attorneys General) to decide which laws are to be enforced and which are to be ignored is simply wrong and must not be tolerated by either party not mention that it sets a frightening precedent. We as a people should be incensed, we should be outraged, and we need to flood our representatives with our letters and calls. It makes absolutely no difference how you feel about the law in question; this stand by the federal Attorneys General is outrageous. If you agree with Mr. Holder and feel the law is bad thats fine, CHANGE IT you cant just ignore it. Whats happening to this county???
Pepper, I want to clean house in all branches.
I'm ticked at the liberals for wanting to take control of each of us, and I'm equally ticked at the conservatives for letting it happen.
The corruption runs so deep it will take months of cleaning and fumigating to get back what is rightfully ours.

I think we've gone too far. We're headed for chaos and I feel bad for the young people today who will one day have to deal with the result of our indifference and our desire to be politically correct at any cost.

It's because the libs infiltrated the school systems and pushed their agenda to them and by the time they graduate they don't know any different.

To be honest BigBear I think there's plenty of blame to be laid at the feet of both parties and us for allowing them to get away with it. We have become so focused on the poor and the downtrodden, the minorities and the disenfranchised that it's become sinful to be a successful hard working American. We no longer respect those who pay the bills but instead blame them for every ill or injustice that exists in the world today.

That's why I said in my first post that they all have to go.
It isn't the place of the federal government to take away personal responsibility.

Indeed. You are correct. This is not a partisan issue, this is an attack on the very fabric of our culture. My concern is why so few people seem to care. Where is the press? Where is the outrage? is it something in the water, what happened to us that we seem to have no perspective on the value of freedom?
BigBear. We live in the wrong State. While Holder and co live in the wrong state of mind

Since ObaMalloy took over, I tell people that I live in the state of Confusion, which isn't far from the truth.
I'm really interested to see how things are going to look in November. Even my liberal wife is disgusted with things as they are. I would like to find out if she will still vote the same as she always did. The two of us only voted to cancel out the other.
Can you say "Independent"-------- boys and girls?
Let the Liebermans come forward. They will. They just need to know they will be supported instead of railroaded. Build it and they will come.

If a person in "authority" can decide not to enforce a law doesn't this then set a precedence for anyone to not obey a law because they do not agree with it? Will this be used as a defense in court, the Attorney General does it so why can't I. Is there no one that can bring charges of malfeasant in office and have these people removed if they aren't doing their jobs? How do you hold these idiots responsible? I would like to know. We don't seem to be able to vote them out.
Now Mexican drug cartel members are kidnapping Americans in the U.S. How are they here in the first place? It's because our laws aren't being enforced. If an immigrant commits a crime they should not be allowed to stay but sent back where they came from. Our immigration policy stinks. The term "illegal" has no meaning to our esteemed leaders and this trickles down. We are becoming a lawless society because of this.
The current non-implementation of the obamacare law which clearly states a specific date for certain actions is just another example of non-compliance with laws. If it will have such a detrimental effect if implemented it should be changed or repealed, not put off for political reasons.
I'm sure you have other examples. Enough for me.
I am not a lawyer but I wish I was as I then might be able to speak with more authority on this. How the AG of the US can tell states AGs to ignore laws is incomprehensible to me. It is just wrong. I have already fired a note off to my congressmen registering my dismay over this. I suspect it will fall on deaf ears however as they are all libs. Another sad day in this great country.

Look what his boss does to set the precedent. No wonder he feels empowered to write his own laws. I hope there are enough people getting upset with our greedy criminal legislators that something will change. I haven't voted for an incumbent for many years, I just don't believe there should be such an animal as a professional politician. Do away with the retirements, pensions and special perks and vote in term limits. I know this is not going to happen but at least this fall we could start rotating them with a new group.
We have gone from being a nation adhering to the rule of law to one that is practicing the "law of rule". This is the petri dish for culturing tyranny. It takes very little looking around at other countries and history to understand how dangerous it is to not adhere to the rule of law. Holder should be removed and all his partners in crime in the justice department he has brought with him.
