Stepped out on my front porch and seen these
how awesome - would love to see that :)
Delightful! Is this an unusual occurrence in your neighborhood? :)

Kind of, they live in a large wooded area a few blocks away but unusual to see them this far from home. Looking at them they are all juniors
Strutting, and chasing chicks. There goes the neighborhood. lol
Nice captures of a fascinating bird - add them to the bucket list! May I offer a suggestion for even better pics? (I know these were "on the fly", but, still.) look at the backgrounds in these. Most of them have backyard stuff, and a lot have "joins", with the landscape timbers going through the body or head. The 2nd to last is by far the best in this regard. It appears you were outside with them, and they tolerated a little movement - if you CAN, try to sidle to a good angle. It's like hunting to stalk and get a clear shot, but you don't have to pluck feathers!

I will be sure to let the birds know that they have to pose with a decent background behind them. Who would of ever thought that one needs a better background for a better image.
Really good thinking!!

"Peabirds?" That's really cute. Never heard them called that before!

Makes complete sense to me! :-)
The only time I have ever seen these are at a zoo. What a blessing to have them living nearby in the wild. Awesome shots by the way. Even the back of the feathers look cool. :D
Great shots, Kenneth! What fun they must have been to take!
