Your original question triggered a thought, fleetingly, of mine. Do you know of a study about our wives attention span when we are talking to them?

My wife's is about 10 seconds if it's something that affects her personally and doesn't include any details to remember. I test this occasionally and say some variation of something like, "So the woman ahead of me in line at the grocery had two kids that were really acting bad and screeching and grabbing stuff off the shelves. Then I shoved a nuclear missile up my ass and blew myself out over the Gulf of Mexico and had to swim back to shore for over two hours." She doesn't even blink.

My x-wife was even worse. While I was talking she'd be talking a different conversation at me over top of mine. There used to be a TV commercial with a old married couple sitting next to each other in lawn chairs doing that and I thought it was funny until I realized it was real and not only with old married couples!

Those are amazing shots! At least you are out there creating beautiful camera work, even though the hours seem grueling. Thanks for the tip on the Botanical Gardens.... when I get back down that way, we'll check it out.

They apparently have a butterfly area if you're into that. Some of the most perfect Monarchs that I've ever seen.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm fortunate to have gotten the attention of realtors who sell in the multi-million dollar category where there's almost always a scenic water view.

Although I shot an inexpensive property (impossible!) on Sanibel that was an older two bedroom condo unit with a small pond behind it that had a stand of old trees which made it almost surrealistic for the area. No beaches or Gulf, just a little pond like I'd see up north.
