I may be wrong but the avatar photo looks like a, "she", rather than a, "he".

Congrats on your new camera. Since you aren't getting it until Monday that gives you 3 days or so to think about what lenses you may want. Won't that be fun???!!!

If you're employed I hope you take the day off. You won't be any good at work.

A word of advice, while waiting it's arrival, I'd suggest going to Barnes & Nobles and picking up a copy of David Busch's guide for the 6D. It will help you lots more than the book that comes with the camera; plusit's spiral bound which is so handy!

Jazzy, I love my 6D. I've only had it for a month and a half, but I really enjoy using it. Now to start adding to my lens collection...

I can second this suggestion. The first thing I purchased after the 6D was David Busch's Canon EOS 6D book. I'm about 2/3rds of the way through it, and have learned a lot about my 6D from this book. It's a really good investment.

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll love it.
One thing on a cautionary note though. Your lenses are going to be totally different, both in reach and in quality. That FF is gonna show a lot of the problem areas (of all lenses) that crop-frame hides.
Just wanted you to be prepared. Everybody knows about the crop-factor but it's more than you expect. <grin>

 For my first full Frame Choice I got the Canon D6 ! Now if it will just hurry & get here I can start PLAYING !!! I am sooooo EXCITED !!! I want to thank you all again so much for the help & advice !!! I will ley you know when the " lil brown truck " gets here !!! ;)

Congratulations to you, I am feeling your excitement. Before I bought my FF moving from the 7D I was flipping between the 6D and 5D MKIII. I went with the 5D MKIII, I may yet buy the 6D as I know it is an excellent camera and you are going to love it. You haven't mentioned which lens you are going to buy (unless I missed that post) I personally think the 24-105 L is a pretty good walk around lens which will match up very nicely with your 6D.

Don't you just love getting new gear!! :D

Hurry up lil brown truck!!! Looking forward to seeing some of your pictures.

Now just what lens to get to go with it ????

I too have just received my 6D with the EF 24-105 L is.

It's a perfect walk around lens for it and this is my second.

I do still have the first one so if you have any interest in it send me message.
