Photo submission doesn't work

This websites photo submission process does not work. You link photo, hit submit, everything disappears, and you get looped around again, and again,,,,

Welcome to our forum!
Make sure it is a JPEG, and make it 600 pixels on the long side. Be sure the name appears next to "Choose File. Do not click on "Preview."

After you "Browse" to where your photo is, select it, and come back to the "comment" screen, then click on "send" but NOT on "preview"
Then wait..... depending on your connection speed with the internet and how busy UHH happens to be, it can take a couple minutes. Just wait....
However, there is also a limit per upload(each time you hit 'send') of 20mb. If your files are 10mb each, only 2 can be uploaded each time, if the files are over 10mb each, only 1 can be done at a time.
Try resizing the photos down to 1024 - 1900 pixels on the long side and see if that helps. Or even down to 600pixels wide and/or 800pixels tall.

600 pixels is a very small specs, mostly from cell phone photos of 2005! I shoot 24 MEG files which is too modern for this website. Disappointed, thanks anyway, Don

You can post images here that are huge, but they will automatically be reduced before they appear on the page. By reducing them to 600 px, the size recommended in the "Rules," the upload will go a bit faster.
It's a compromise between being able to have many images displayed and showing top-quality hi-res images, not really the purpose of this forum.

600pixels is the MAX width that displays here, unless you click the "store original" option which allows us to 'download' the larger file.
As long as the file size is under 20mb you can upload but it will take a while since UHH creates a 'thumbnail' for display that is no more than 600 pixels wide and no more than 800 pixels tall.
Post anything you want as long as each upload is no more than 20mb, and then be prepared to wait.

I always resize to 1500 pixels x whatever and it works great.
