Tamron 18-270 Lens

Recently purchased a Tamron 18-270 f3.5 / 6.3. Read a lot of reviews that were very mixed but decided to try it anyway and am very glad I did. On a recent trip to Panama I carried 2 lenses an 11-18 and a 70-300 which left a real gap. Spent the day changing lenses and was not happy with coverage. This lens fits most of my needs for travel and bird photography and is an excellent lens for use with my Sony A77. Auto focus is extremely fast and sharp you hardly notice it moving. Purchased from Adorama where I always get great service and reasonable prices. Here is an example image.

I agree, I rented the Tamron 18-270 for an African Safari. I'm very satisfied with the results.
