For me, unusual color!
I never thought about pet birds and baths....

Thanks Jay, what was funny was that they all wanted a bath at the same time, because of the rain on the roof I'm thinking. So when I went out to take them out of their cages for the day, he was dripping wet and his drinking water dish was empty. Thanks again for stopping by.

Thank you dmeyer, I appreciate the nice comment and yes he is unusually talented & entertaining. He commands about 3000 words and sounds and even sings a little, his favorite being 'Tiny Bubbles'. He's been with us for over 16 years now and with their longevity I will have to leave him in my will to one of my granddaughters. Thanks again.

A dear friend of mine was given a parrot when she was young but had to give it to her nephew when she was in her eighties. When she moved to the home of the nephew when she was in her nineties, the parrot was there to greet her. By then, the parrot was 75.

I can certainly understand that dmeyer, as you know keeping your pets happy & well cared for almost guarantees longevity. My Chief couldn't get any happier or healthier and he shows it every day. Thanks again.

Fantastic shots of your African Grey, my daughter has one and sometimes I think he is smarter as me. The detail of your V- Lux 1 shots are amazing, I use a V-Lux2, nothing beats that Leica lens even at max tele.

My parrots heard the rain falling on the roof and decided it was a good day for their shower. Here are a couple of shots of my African Grey 'Chief' after he dried off. I used the Leica V-Lux1 at maximum telephoto 420mm equivalent indoors sitting down in my easy chair. The distance to Chief was about 35 feet from the living room to the Florida room where he rules the roost. Please try the downloads.

Looking very handsome today Chief!
