If I load PS12 and already have PS 7, will PS7 be deleted?
Thanks

I have PS v.2 on my computer and when I bought & installed v.9 it did not delete v2. So, I would say probably not unless Adobe has changed the way their install works.

No. It will not affect the earlier version.

No. If you want to delete PS7 you will have to do it yourself.

No, it won't delete older versions.

No it will not. BTW, that is PSE 12...
You can have as many versions on your computer as you like, they will all work independently from each other. You can now even open an older and an new version at the same time, as long as you open the older version first.

Here my memory is shaky... I believe this was introduced with version 11 of PSE. Also, I don't know if you can open for example version 7 and 10 at the same time, as they both predate this change.

"No" what?
A new installation won't delete or overwrite an older one?
Or you cannot open two different versions of PSE that predate that change, at the same time?

It would be helpful if you clicked "Quote reply" when answering a message, at least we'd know what you're talking about. If it is a very long message you're responding to, you could even delete everything but the statement or question your answer applies to.

I have pse 11 and when I had to remove pse9, but before I did I move all files on flash cards so I wouldn't lose any files

No, it will not. I have PSE10 and I loaded PSE12. When I want to use my PSE10, I just click on the logo and it will take me to PSE10 program. If I hit open in the thumbnail section of my photos, the program goes automatically to PSE12. I still have the choice of which progam to use.

What part of the word 'No' do you not understand?

Huh?
Yes, I understand what "No" means - the parts as well as the entire word!!!!!
I'm pretty fluent in the English language.
It's not the meaning of the word "No" that should be in question here, but rather the item cthahn was referring to.
If you had read my entire message, you would have known that, because I asked what he meant:
No, a new installation won't delete or overwrite an older one?
Or No, you cannot open two different versions of PSE that predate that change, at the same time?
I hope that clarifies it for you.

Just one small point. If you keep both versions on your PC, If you try to open an older PSD file from v9 by double clicking, it will open in v9. Unless you change the default. You will still be able to open it in which ever version you want by right clicking and choosing "Open With".

Good point, Wellhiem!
Yes, if will often right-click and select Open With.
Equally often, and always if I want to open more than one image at a time, I will open PSE first, then drag and drop from the Windows Explorer into the workspace of PSE.
