Thanks.
Yesterday I received a call from a person with an accent>definitely not from the US. He said that my computer was not responding to microsoft > my computer was off. He said he could fix the problem quickly , I told him that I would contact microsoft to fix the problem and he hung up. Sounds like he was trying to hack in to my computer. Has this happened to any of you?

Hi rustybucket, I don't usually make a second comment but its when you mentioned "ranitidine"..I was one of the first people to be involved with its manufacture (Zantac) at the Barnard Castle GlaxoSmithkline plant in the eighties, and I must be one of the few people in the world that can't use it as I (and several other people)became allergic to its active ingredient(Ranitidine Hydrochloride)during early production trials. That one product turned Glaxo's fortunes..it made millions for them!!
anyway sorry about that..just a bit of useless info!!

You need to see a Chiropractor or an Osteopathic doctor. Either one will be able to fix you right up.

Jimmy, I know you asked, and said that your question is not related to this thread, but it is sooooo unrelated that you should have started your own thread so more people can answer you.
To answer your question, no, it hasn't happened to me but I have read about it from an IT geek, who was targeted numerous times. He played along with them and recorded what they were asking him to do. Eventually they caught on and accused him of lying to them!

Thank you chinaman, now I know I was smart to get rid of him and not let him get in to the computer. Thanks again for your response.

Rustybucket, when you've had the scans, go see a chiropractor for a second opinion. If he can help, he'll fix you in 5 mins. If he does, keep going back every 1-2 months for maintenance of your musculoskeletal health. Some chiros can see to your physiological health as well, like correcting tiredness, bowel problems, chest problems, etc.
I work in the medical field, worked with a musculoskeletal physician before, and attends a chiro regularly. So does my family, with my youngest child going shortly after his birth. I feel the difference when I miss appointments.
Years ago, I had a severe lower back pain that literally floored me. I went to the emergency department, was given muscle relaxant (Diazepam) and bed rested for 1 week. At the end of which I had muscle wasting, a severe chest infection and affected swallow reflex which took me 6 months to recover from. I've had the same degree of back pain again since, due to poor posture and prolonged sitting. I get fixed in 5 mins.
Good luck.

I feel your pain. I really do. Have for about the last week. It's your Sciatic nerve, hence Sciatica.

Just thinking about going and filling the tub up with hot water, and soaking for a while. Can't hurt.

this is a rotten condition to have believe me I know. and your doctor needs a quick kick in the butt.
there are things that you can do to MAYBE help with the pain
--such as stretching exercises, heating pad or something in the way of a hand held massage unit that has heat
yarrow is also really good when used in the natural form and can be gotten at most health store.
about a small hand full in water that has came to a full rolling boil
leave for about 15 minutes
let cool and store in GLASS jar not plastic
about 4 ounces 3-4 times a day
this stuff tastes terrible so have something to take like a small candy etc--it does work and is a safe native herb that I got from one of the Native Elders after years of getting medication that really did not work from my family doctor

Massage helps, a t.e.n.s unit will also help. There can be many causes, but you sound like you have it.

Hi guys and gals,

Has anyone any experience of sciatica?

Out of the blue one evening I felt a sharp little pain in my buttock/hip area. By bedtime the pain had spread to my upper thigh and whole hip/buttock area. the pain was really intense so I took paracetamol but could sleep all night for it. The pain level set me thinking back to the last time I experienced that level of pain and there ware two incidences. First one was during childbirth 43 years ago and the second time was after having a hysterectomy. They discovered I had an internal bleed and had to go to theatre again the next morning so they withdrew my morphine all that night. It wasn't at all pleasant, I can tell you.

So if anyone out there can explain to me what sciatica should feel like it would help as I feel the doctor is fobbing me off. Even when I am in excruciating pain, I have no loss of flexibility or movement and when I do move it has no effect on the pain, making it neither better nor worse. The doc has told me that my symptoms are not of classic sciatica but was unwilling to have any tests done to prove it or otherwise but my daughter came with me and forced the issue and managed to get him to agree to have an xray and blood tests done and I'm now waiting for a scan.

I'm not one for running to the doctor unless it's necessary so if anyone knows of something in the way of self-help that they have used and proved beneficial...I'd love to know.

Basically, I'm on 2Ibuprofen + 2 Paracets + 2 Tramadol, just to keep the pain at a manageable level..... and I'm definitely not a pill popper. I rarely ever have to take painkillers as I don't like the fuzzy head they give me.

So if anyone out there has ANY helpful self-help knowledge I'd be eternally grateful.

My new SonyRX100 has arrived as well as the Guide by R White but my heads been too fuddled to feel like tackling it. I'll update you all as soon as I've trialed it for a bit.
Hi guys and gals, br br Has anyone any experience... (show quote)

I really feel for you (and others) (and myself) that have this problem. A month ago while sleeping I felt the most hurting pain EVER. It started in my lower back and radiated down my left leg all the way down to my left foot and toes. It finally stayed in my outside left thigh near my knee. It felt like burning, stabbing pain. Several days age I had KNIFE-LIKE pulses near my knee. I have seen my doctor and have been referred to a physical therapist. I take NORCO for Pain medication due to big time back pain for over 54 years. My two sons (1 MD) and sister have recommended a product called TENS.

This is -
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. I suggest you look-up TENS and Sciatica in Wikipedia/Google and get informed. I have and you will not be lacking for info.
Gook Health.

I get this occasionally and in fact have it today. Probably due to working flat out yesterday and then painting my lounge ceiling.
I take anti inflammatory drugs when it is bad but I can usually treat it with frozen peas. I just lie on them on the floor , keeping a cloth between the pea pack and my skin . I lie there reading a book of mag until I cant feel my back or the pain. I then do gentle stretching , bending backwards exercise and it usually settles down.
