Well, thats the ideal, PhotoGrl....that the originals are almost perfect and don't need much PP....good shooting! And really good to see you here among us!

There wasn't too much interesting on my walk today. The kid is gone with my truck so I was extremely limited.
So these are truly uninteresting photos lol.
I had the camera set to P (program mode) and manual focus.
When I opened them in photoshop, other than the exposure which I corrected with a slight curves adjustment I didn't do anything to them

haha helps to upload them

I didnt need a tutorial for myself...I shouldn't have made a comment..lol...I don't know what I was thinking ...I just thought there was usually a tutorial along with photoGrls challenges...I was there since this started...I wasn't thinking that the tutorials wouldn't be "generic"...and everyone has different software programs...DUH>...ok I sometimes have "blonde logic"...

Agreed. Just google (your pp program) tutorials. As some of you know that have been here since the beginning, I used to have all of them and could help, but unfortunately I had them installed on an external drive that had decided not to let me access them. LOL it keeps telling me to format the disc and if I do I will lose everything on it... hate when that happens

Saw the sun shining thru this tree and wanted to try to capture it... Thanks to this challenge, I took something that was basically bland and I might have deleated to something a little more interesting......

Camera settings ISO 200, 70mm, f/8.0, 1/500

Like it, Sher - was looking at the different levels or kinds of light in the image from all the different directions.

Really like the B/W. Maybe this is a silly question, but do you use masks and layers to do the selective dodge/burn? I need to figure out how to use masks. Have tutorial, but have to watch it again.....just wondered.

Picture taken in Tallinn, Estonia of a graveyard during the day. Canon 40D back in the day when it was set to 'Automatic' - I've since learned to be the one in control of my camera.

Processed with Topaz Adjust - set to Dark-Ghostly which I felt showed the feeling of a graveyard.

This was taken back in 2012, but wanted to show it. I used my Sigma 150mm macro. At the time I had no ring flash so was using a light to try and enough light and focus, etc. In the end it was aperture priority, .3sec. f2.8 ISO 200. I didn't like the picture but ended up cropping in and then changed "hue and saturation" and masked some of the color back in. I was pleased with the final result from a picture I almost deleted.
