I love this work. Your set up, composition, light & color, all done very well. Putting the lime in the seltzer was a brilliant touch!

Thank you, Jambulee, for the nice comment and taking the time to view my photo. The camera used did not have the capability for changing lenses but did had a macro setting. The macro setting on the camera did not provide true macro capabilities as it could not give me actual size, or 1:1, reproduction but it did allow me to get in close. The photo was cropped and some color, contrast adjustments were made in PS Elements to give me the final image.

Again, well done.

That belongs in an advertising campaign for Schweppe's Tonic. No gin needed. Superb.

Thank you, carlysue, for stopping to view my photo and for taking the time to write such a glowing review. I've been kicking around the idea of shooting other images along these lines and your encouraging comments have certainly stirred up my interest in doing so.

Thank you, frjack, for taking time out to view and comment on my photo. The nice review is most encouraging. As it turns out, there was no gin in with the seltzer. I'm not particularly fond of seltzer (except for photographic puposes) so I was saving the gin for another time.

Great shot, as all have said. But I have a question: if the lime was back lit by morning light (as it certainly appears to be) how did you get that black background?

Thank you for stopping to view and comment on my photo.

The glass of seltzer was sitting on a coffee table - there was a sofa between the glass and the wall with the window in it - I draped a black cloth over the sofa to keep the background dark and pattern free - I shot straight on towards the sofa and black background so none of the window would appear in the photo. The window merely provided the backlighting.
