We have this incredible landmark here in Western Washington that I never grow tired of. It's usually gray and crappy but when the sun goes down, it shoots under the clouds and lights up the mountain. The flock of geese was just starting a spiral and dropped like rocks in the field for the night.

Thanks everyone! This is my first gallery post...

It's even cooler in the spring as all the foreground is a daffodil field. Or at least it was. The 80 year old owner wants to retire, his kids want nothing to do with hundreds of acres of flowers so he's selling to a !@#$% developer. Big local political uproar...

I grew up watching this mountain every day, at least when it was clear enough to see. It really is a beautiful sight and you captured it very well.

I know what you mean. While at Ft. Lewis/Tacoma many, many years ago, I just marveled at Ranier's beauty. Wasn't into photography too much at the time and missed a great opportunity.

Thanks again everyone! It typically only has color like that for a couple of minutes. Yes, please, play away. I'd like to see what could be done but only if you explain what you did and why. So I can learn...

It is a very nice shot but I wish you had used more of the foreground.
The mountain is your center of interest and you want to make it more prominent in your photograph, perhaps through the use of a moderate tele stepping back from the position you took this shot.
The light is awesome!
