I need to stop by the camera store and get some stuff this weekend. In the past I have noted lots of folks standing around holding number tags and a few folks with like 4 foot long white lens on the camera. I never bring my camera gear inside.
So as I know what I want, I head for the pro area and I’m in and out. I do stop by the rental area and talk shop for awhile, the same at the film counter. I’m not being an ass am I?

Thank you

If you shoot Canon, then yes.
If you shoot Nikon, then of course not!

Either way, I envy you. Penn Camera - the largest retailer in the DC area - just filed for bankruptcy. Closed 5 of 8 stores immediately, and the other 3 are in question. If we lose all the Penn stores, we won't have the luxury of just going in and out of a camera store any longer. And, the thought of going into a Ritz camera store turns my stomach.

Seems these things are ALWAYS started by Nikon people, they should grow up and buy a Canon, VBG, Bob.

It seems to me when Nikon people talk their words don't match anything that's in my Canon mind. So mostly I don't have a clue as to what they are saying. hehehehe

What does it matter what equipment that one uses as long as the photographer gets the results that they are looking for or are able to get the best out of the camera????

Exactly accurate. Ford or Chevy? They still get you from one palce to anither. There ain't a thing wrong with good natured bantering though.

Mikey...

I have came to the conclusion that Canon and Nikon are like Ford and Chevy they are about as common that is why I chose Pentax like being different.
