Recently, I purchase PSE 10. It came with 3 disks. Put #1 in my HP and it loaded without problem. However, there was no prompt to insert disk 2 nor 3. Further, as far as I can tell, the program is running fine. Do I need to install whatever is on these 2 disks? If not, what is on them? Ken S.

When you bought PSE 10 did you only buy the photoshop part of did you also get the video editing with it? If you bought the video editing as well then that could be what one of the disks is for and so if you want the video editing then install it if not don't worry about it. Glenn I am sure is right one if them is for Mac.

I purchased PSE 10 just yesterday ($79 at Costco), and ran up against the same question you have, so I put the other two discs into the DVD drive to see what would happen. The second one has the additional PSE Premier trial program for making movies, and the third one is the one that Mac users use to install. So everything you need is on the first one.

If you read on the disc on the right hand side it says for MAC start with disc 3..so 3 is for mac (APPLE ) computers and disc 2 is probably for preimer .

Mine from Costco came with two additional disks (i.e. beyond the three above):

1. Scrapbooking stuff

2. Trial of Lightroom

In mid-December, I followed (Windows 7) install instructs as outlined on insertion of disk #1, expecting to progress to disks #2 & #3. At the end of disk #1, registration was prompted. I was very confused. I asked on UHH, the same question you did. A PSE-10 user told me that only disk #1 was required for Windows, and that disks #2 & #3 were for Macs. And there is no printed manual with purchase of PSE-10.

Disc #2 - Adobe Premiere Elements 10 "TRIAL"

Disc #3 - Elements Organizer

Just pop them in and they will tell you what they are.

Elements Premier is elements for video. I purchased it thinking (well actually not thinking as it turned out) that it was a "premier" add on to elements. Live and learn!

At least on my Elements 10 the whole thing was on one disk.

Photoshop Elements is three programs: the Organizer, the Editor, and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR).

The Organizer is a powerful database tool to find your images. It has keywords and tags that you attach to photos and then can use to search. It automatically identifies faces on photos and adds them as tags. It goes through all your photos and offers them up for "stacking" to keep images together. And more.

Most of the discussion on Elements in on the Editor. It is a simplified version of Photoshop.

ACR is the same as you get with Photoshop and, as the name suggests, is for Editing RAW photos.
