How Do I Remove It?

I like this photo but the pole in the middle kinda ruins it. My only excuse is that I took it during Happy Hour! I haven't done any editing of the photo yet, but when I do I would like to get rid of the pole. I have Essentials 12 and I'm pretty sure it is quite capable of doing the job but I would appreciate any advice. My one previous attempt with Essentials 10 was a disaster.

I don't use Essentials, but do use Photoshop CC. Used Content Aware Fill, Clone and Content Aware Brush. Finished with straightening the horizon a bit. There is lens flare coming over the hill behind the huts, which I didn't try to remove. Forgot to attach the photo....opps.

Fantastic Work..

I have Photoshop Elements, has it limits for sure, good for the price....I need to put more time in using it.

I think you did an awesome job removing the pole, turned it into a very nice photo.

Blessings,

tom

Love the composition and light of the image and SueMac did a super job! Now I'm wondering about the piece of towel/clothing in the tree :)

Yes, I suppose so in the hands of a talented Knowledgable individual skilled in the software...

Not I,....the best I have been able to do is change the background on some of my Grandson's Senior Basketball Players posed against a partial white/black wall for their upcoming Banquet and Honoring the Seniors that will graduate this year.

I need to spend more time on it and read more tutorial's, I did use it to post process some raw files now and then.

Last week, I down loaded a 30 day trial of Lightroom 5 on my MacBook Pro....processed some photos with it and impressed.

Sure another waste of our kids/grandkids inheritance, but think, I shall purchase Lightroom piddle with it.

I do have one question, if anyone knows the answer, i haven't found it under search for Lightroom.

I have been using a Nikon D-5000 and converting the .nef files has worked with Photoshop Elements 10. Upon, purchase of a Nikon D-600 the Photoshop Elements 10 will not convert those .nef files, there is not plug in. I had to go to Adobe and load their little Software program that will convert the Nikon D-600 .nef to .dng files then Photoshop Elements will pick up and allow me to do post processing.

Thus my question and search has been will Lightroom 5 convert the Nikon D-600 .nef files????

Excuse the ramblings.

Blessings to all.

The cloth is actually a part of the canopy over the lounge we were sitting on. I hadn't even thought about it but it certainly wouldn't hurt to remove it. I agree, SueMac did a superb job!

You're welcome! Being retired I have lots of time to devote to learning the various techniques.

I did it in 30 seconds with Elements 10, but someone beat me to it. His looked better.

So, it looks like I can't blame my disaster on Elements!

Ah! I found the problem! I just re-read my original post and it seems I was using Essentials 10 instead of Elements 10. Silly me! No wonder it didn't work! I probably better trade in my Essentials 12 for Elements 12! Dang! That was a wasted $2.37!
